Registration and Login

Why can't I register?

Look at the displayed error message. To register you need:

• An unique GT2 account name. (It is not obligatory your Travian nickname, it also can be different)
• A valid email.
• (optional) Your Travian account name. This is the name you use to login into Travian. You have to have the Travian server you are playing on activated in GT2.

My account already exists?

Just use another free account name. The GT2 account name is not your Travian name, it is your login name for Getter-Tools 2.0. You can setup your Travian account in your user options.

My Travian account name (ingame nick) doesn't exist?

If you have registered your Travian account in the last 24h, you need to wait a day, so the tool can synchronize with the gameworld data. Then your Travian account name will be accepted.

Login: I've lost my password?

Use the password-recovery function. You can get there if you try to enter a wrong password. Click on the link and you will be asked for your username and your email. Enter these and you get a email with an confirmation link. Click on that link and you will get a new password to login.

Other

I have forgotten my email, password or sth.. Can it be mailed to me?

No. Confidential support requests will only be processed, if you are able to authenticate yourself with that account.

Old data? How often is the map updated?

The automatic update is once a day, mostly morning. So it can take up to 24 hours until new data is visible in the tools.

Alliances and groups

I can't get to my alliance/group!

Ask your alliance/group leader for the join link. The link guides you easily to all necessary steps to get there.

Is it possible to be member in more than just one group?

Yes. You can be member in as many groups as you want.

Security: Alliance/group without password?

It is not possible to join a group without a pasword. There is always a needed password. You can also use the join link, which contains the current password, and make it easy for new members to join. You can change the group password any time.

How can I use the trooptool for my alliance?

This is very easy. Just go to the trooptool main page. Thery you need to click the information link on the left side. There you can find a short description and some option links. Click on 'use trooptool for an alliance' to create a new trooptool group.

Troop data, units and villages

Which unit is offense, and which one is defense? And why?

The main criterion is the unit strength in offense or defense. If the strength average in both, the village type do the decision.

Typical offense units (examples): Axeman, Imperian and Swordsman'. Typical defense units (examples): Phalanx, Spearman und Praetorian.

So a unit is ever offense or defense, but not both. That is good, because if a unit counts for both types, the statistics are distorted and inefficient.

Why is the unit number greater than their real count?

That is because it isn't the units count. The value is the crop consumption of the units, so 1 Teutonic Knight = 3 crop units.

Why are troops counted in crop consumption?

That has many advantages compared to other methods. And it is the 'quasi'-standard in most travian communities.

• Standard in most communities
• It give a much better value for comparison. Example: Troop A has 1000 Axeman and troop B has 1000 Equites Caesaris. In troop counts, that both troops are identical, but thats far far away from the truth. With crop consumption troop A has 1000 and troop B has 4000. So that value represents much more the true strength of the troop.
• You can see easily how much crop is needed for the troop. That comes handy for defense situations.
• The crop consumption is exactly the value which is used for the offense and defense highscores in Travian.

Why is the travel time incorrect?

The tool needs correct values for tournament square to calculate the correct traval time for your troops. You can enter the level in the troops table

Where can i enter the tournament sqare level?

Go to the troop table. Then click on the pencil button on the right side in the row you like to edit. In the field "TS" (may depend on language) you can enter your tournament square levele. Notice: All travel time in the plans are automatically adjusted to the current setting.
